A Note From Lesley

God used the Christian Women’s Center to radically change my life. In 2012, I was addicted to drugs, living a life of crime and self-destruction. My life was centered around my addiction. BUT GOD… In July of 2013, the Lord saved me. For a few months, I was on fire for Jesus, pretending that I was rid of all problems. However, the consequences of my wrecked life were not so easily ignored. At this time, all of my ‘friends’ were addicts. I did not have a stable place to live or a job. I had nothing. In October 2013, I was referred to the Christian Women’s Center. It was here that I learned how to live, how to thrive in Christ. Now God has blessed me with the incredible joy of being Executive Director of this Christ-centered ministry.

Most women who seek freedom from addiction have the same struggle as I had; the inability to get out of the pit they dug for themselves. Here, at the Christian Women’s Center, we offer hope. Our first priority is sharing the Gospel of Christ within various biblical studies, mentorships, and discipleship. We also train women in practical matters such as budgeting, cooking, job training, etc. By the end of our 12 month program, our residents will graduate with a job, a circle of Christian influences, a place to live, a plan, and a biblical understanding of who God is and how to live accordingly.

For over 40 years the Christian Women’s Center has been a beacon of hope in the community. I welcome you to join in the work that God is doing here!
